Today marks seven years since Georgina Gharsallah was last seen on Clifton Road, Worthing on March 7, 2018. Despite years of extensive police investigations, she has never been found.

To mark the anniversary, Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme, Senior Investigating Officer, has issued a powerful open letter urging those with knowledge of Georgina’s disappearance to break their silence.

A Plea for Answers

In his emotional letter, Det. Supt. Wolstenholme directly addresses those who may be withholding vital information:

“Seven years. Seven long years, you’ve kept a secret that is causing so much pain and heartbreak. Isn’t it time you gave it up?”

He highlights the anguish Georgina’s family and friends have endured, including her mother, father, children, and sisters, as they desperately await answers.

“Put yourself in their shoes. They’ve endured sleepless nights waiting for Georgina to come home. They’ve replayed conversations and moments spent with Georgina, not realising at the time they would be the last ones before she disappeared.”

The Call for Justice

The emotional appeal emphasizes that even the smallest piece of information could be the key to solving the mystery and bringing justice for Georgina.

“Are you protecting someone? If so, ask yourself the question – would they do the same for you if things got tough or the tables were turned?”

Det. Supt. Wolstenholme urges anyone with information to come forward, noting that they can do so anonymously through Crimestoppers.

“Keeping that to yourself is a lot to have on your conscience, isn’t it?”
