A police pursuit on the Isle of Dogs ended in a collision on Alpha Grove on Thursday afternoon, leaving an 18-year-old moped rider injured.
Police Chase Ends in Crash
At approximately 3:30 PM on the 6th March 2025 Metropolitan Police officers were in pursuit of a moped when it crashed into a parked car near the junction with Mellish Street. The rider, believed to be 18 years old, was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Emergency Services at the Scene
A large police presence was reported in the area, with multiple emergency vehicles flashing blue lights. Alpha Grove was partially blocked as officers and paramedics responded to the incident.
