Police have launched an urgent appeal to help find a missing mother and her eight-year-old son who were last seen in Armley, Leeds.

Lyndsey Craven, 45, and her son, Daniel Becic, were reported missing after they vanished without a trace on Sunday, 23 February 2025. West Yorkshire Police have expressed growing concerns for their welfare and are urging the public to come forward with any information that may help locate them.

Daniel was last seen wearing white Nike trainers, grey bottoms, a stripey jumper, and a jacket featuring white, grey, yellow, and blue colors. A recent photo released by police shows the young boy dressed in the outfit, offering a clearer description for those who may have seen him.

Details about what Lyndsey was wearing at the time of their disappearance have not been confirmed, but police are hopeful that the public can assist in locating them quickly.

In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said, “We have serious concerns for the safety and wellbeing of both Lyndsey and Daniel. We are urging anyone who may have seen them or has any information about their whereabouts to contact us immediately.”

The police are treating the case as high priority due to Daniel’s young age and the unknown circumstances surrounding their disappearance.

Members of the public are asked to call 999 immediately if they spot Lyndsey or Daniel, quoting log number 806 of 23 February. Alternatively, any non-urgent information can be reported to West Yorkshire Police via 101.

The community is encouraged to share the appeal widely, particularly on social media, to help increase the chances of finding Lyndsey and Daniel safe and well.
