Knife Attack in Crawley: Man Jailed for Nearly Four Years

Stabbing Shakes Dalewood Gardens

Sussex Police raced to Dalewood Gardens on the evening of 5 February after reports of a man wielding a knife. At 6:40 p.m., officers found a 46-year-old Crawley man suffering a stab wound. He was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.

Altercation Turns Violent in Woodfield Road Home

The court heard Louis Munorrah, 40, from Woodfield Road, Crawley, stabbed the victim following a heated dispute at a nearby residence. Police arrested Munorrah at the scene and charged him with Section 18 grievous bodily harm. In March, he pleaded not guilty at Lewes Crown Court.

Jury Finds Munorrah Guilty After Five-Day Trial

The trial started on 16 September and concluded with the jury convicting Munorrah of the brutal stabbing. On 20 September, the judge sentenced Munorrah to three years and 11 months behind bars.

Zero Tolerance on Knife Crime

“Sussex Police takes a zero-tolerance approach to knife crime, and this is another offender who is now off the streets,” said Investigator Zoe Broster. “This was an altercation that escalated, resulting in serious injuries to the victim. Our priority is to catch offenders, investigate thoroughly, and bring them before the courts.”
