Early Morning Blaze Shuts Down M20 Near Folkestone
Kent Fire and Rescue Service sprang into action early Sunday morning after a car burst into flames on the M20 between Junctions 11A and 11. The alarm was raised at 5:53am, sending two fire engines rushing to the scene.
Firefighters Swiftly Douse Flames
Equipped with breathing apparatus, crews tackled the blaze head-on using high-pressure hose reels and main jets. They brought the fire under control by 6:31am, preventing what could have been a major motorway disaster.
No Injuries Reported, Investigation Underway
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. The cause of the fire remains a mystery, and Kent Fire and Rescue are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information.
