Danielle Massey is set to appear in court charged in connection with the death of her seven-month-old baby, Charlie Goodall. The 31-year-old mother faces accusations of causing or allowing the death of a child, stemming from an incident that unfolded in their home in February 2022.

The distressing episode unfolded on the afternoon of February 16, 2022, when emergency services were summoned to the residence at West Chilton Terrace in Chilton, County Durham. Paramedics arrived to find baby Charlie unresponsive in the bath, prompting immediate intervention. Despite swift efforts, the infant was airlifted to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle, where he tragically succumbed shortly after arrival.
In addition to the charges related to the infant’s death, Massey also faces allegations of possession of cannabis.
As the case unfolds, Massey is scheduled to appear at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court on April 16.
