Around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, three men entered a building on Glasgow’s Gartcraig Road and assaulted a man.

As a result of the incident, a 39-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he is still being treated.

Officers are conducting extensive investigations into the incident, which is being investigated as attempted murder.

The three male suspects are described as white and were wearing hooded clothing at the time of the incident, with two of the suspects wearing face coverings.

“A man has been seriously injured in what we believe to be a targeted attack,” said Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson of Shettleston CID.

I would urge anyone who was in the Gartcraig Road area around the time of the incident to contact police as soon as possible if you noticed the three men in the street or any other small piece of information that could prove relevant to our investigations.

I would also ask motorists who were in the area at the time to check their footage because it may have captured images that could help us find the men responsible for this attack.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland at 101 and reference incident 3402 of 5 July 2022. You can also call Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 and provide your information anonymously.
