Alan Skey of Leeds was arrested on April 17, this year, after an exhaustive investigation by officers from Leeds CID, with assistance from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

He was accused the next day with six burglary offences and two armed robbery offences.

Skey was sentenced yesterday (31/5), after pleading guilty to all eight offences committed between 1 April 2022 and 15 April 2022 at Leeds Crown Court.

Skey also admitted to committing six additional offences during this time period under the Offenses to be Considered (TIC) programme.

Leeds CID Detective Sergeant Andrew Greatorex stated:

We are happy with today’s punishment for Skey since it is a substantial result of a thorough and efficient investigation earlier this year.

I know that a lot of enterprises in the city centre have suffered as a result of the attacks on their facilities and employees, and I hope that this arrest and conviction will reassure people who have been affected by Skey’s criminality.
