Mubarik Ali, 42, of Baron Street, Stoke-on-Trent, was given three years in prison on Friday (May 27) at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court. He had admitted to two counts of possession with the intent to supply class A and possession of criminal property.
The court heard that on January 26, 2022, police stopped a Volkswagen Passat on Baron Street in Stoke-on-Trent and searched it.
Officers found and took two cell phones, a small amount of cash, and a number of Class A drugs.
A little less than an hour later, the police went to Ali’s house to search it.
A large amount of cocaine worth between £49,000 and £62,000 and about £20,000 in cash were found and taken.
Ali was arrested, charged, and then found guilty of the crimes. He pleaded guilty to all of the charges before he was sentenced.
Detective Sergeant Marc Proctor of the Staffordshire Police said, “Officers were very happy to find such a large amount of class A drugs.
“I’m glad we were able to get these medicines.”
