On Saturday 10 April 2021, a motorist was arrested during the early hours following a pursuit on the coastbound M20, which ended at Junction 5 near Aylesford. Following a search, officers discovered and seized a live firearm, class B drugs along with two mobile phones.
Kane McLeod, 30, of Wordsworth Avenue in Derby, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possessing a firearm when prohibited for life, disqualified driving, driving without insurance, refusing a preliminary roadside drug test and two counts of possession of class B drugs.
Mr McLeod has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 12 April 2021.
