Firefighters from Hightown station were called to Turnpike Way, Hedge End Southampton after a teenager got stuck in a child’s swing whist performing a Tiktok video.
The silly Tiktok stunt that has been seen to take place now more frequently with firefighters having to assist also renders the swing in play areas unusable untill they are replaced because the firefighters often have no option but to cut them apart.
The craze is continuing to tie up valuable time and resources and the firefighters from Hightown spoke out on the issue saying;
“We don’t normally judge anyone at the calls we go to. However, getting stuck in a child’s swing whilst filming a TikTok is just plain stupid. This idiotic behaviour has tied up a truck for nearly an hour, preventing it from attended other calls not smart”
