Detectives have charged a teenager with firearms offences

Detectives have charged a teenager with firearms offences following vehicle stops in north London on Tuesday, 14 April.

A teenager was charged on Tuesday, 15 April with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition.

He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 16 April.

The charge is in relation to armed officers stopping two vehicles in Blackstock Road, N5, on Tuesday, 14 April as part of an investigation by Specialist Crime officers.

 

The vehicles and occupants were searched and officers recovered a revolver and ammunition.

Three males, aged 17 , 19 and 24  were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm.

They were taken to north London police stations.

Seventeen year was charged

Two others have  been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
