A man in his 40s had to be cut free from his van after crashing into a tree on Romsey Road (A3057) in Nursling. The smash happened near the Lee Drove junction, close to the local golf course, at 11.25am.
Firefighters Work Fast to Free Driver
Hampshire Fire and Rescue sent two engines from Redbridge and Eastleigh. Crews used cutting equipment to free the trapped driver. He was rushed to Southampton General Hospital with suspected back injuries.

Hampshire Constabulary said Romsey Road was partially closed following the crash. The southbound lane remained open, but drivers faced delays while officers cleared the scene.
