Fatal collision involving single vehicle on the A3 near Petersfield

Police are continuing to investigate a single vehicle fatal collision on the A3 Southbound near the Petersfield this morning. Despite the efforts of the emergency services including Fire and a Hart Team the person was unable to be saved was certified dead at the scene. It is believed that the vehicle crossed over and flipped. Emergency services where called to the scene just before midnight. Hard traffic diversion are in place and motorists are requested to follow the black diamond sign and us the A32 from the A272 as an alternative route.
