A 49-year-old man from South Gloucestershire has been locked up for 14 months after attempting to meet what he thought was a teenage girl at a Swansea B&B.
Dirty Plan Foiled by Online Decoy
Rodolfa Galvao, from Yate, had been chatting online with an account he believed belonged to an underage girl. But the account was run by a sting group posing as the teen.
Galvao booked a room at a Mumbles B&B, intending to meet for sexual activity. He was caught in the act after being confronted by the disguised group at Parc Tawe.
Shocking Evidence on His Phone
Police seized Galvao’s phone, uncovering explicit messages sent to the fake account. The messages showed clear grooming intent.
Galvao admitted to attempting to meet a girl under 16 following grooming, sealing his fate in court.
Justice Served
He pleaded guilty and has now been sentenced to 14 months behind bars. Authorities hope this sends a strong message against predators targeting children online.
