HARD GRAFT Surrey Firefighters Honoured for Heroism and Dedication at Annual Awards Night

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service celebrated heroism and hard graft as 59 staff and civilians scooped awards at their glittering annual Honors and Awards evening.

Bravery and Service Up for Applause

The ceremony, held on Tuesday 21 October at Dorking Halls, honoured individuals for career milestones and acts of exceptional courage. From those marking five years to an incredible 45 years of service, the event also recognised life-saving deeds and professional excellence.

Among the heroes was a member of the public who alerted a family to a flat fire, helping to stop the blaze spreading and saving lives.
