MURDER PROBE Tragedy in Oxfordshire: Girl Dies in Suspected Homicide

Thames Valley Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a young girl at a home on Middle Street, Islip, today, Tuesday 21st October 2025.

Police Launch Full Homicide Probe

The girl’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving specialist support. A police cordon is in place at the scene, with officers keeping a strong presence in the area as the investigation gets underway.

Senior Detective Issues Statement

“Firstly, I would like to share our condolences with the family of the girl who very sadly has died today,” said Detective Chief Inspector Sally Spencer.

“We have launched a homicide investigation, but we are still in the early stages and will provide more details as soon as we are able to.

“We understand this investigation will be concerning for the community, but we believe this incident to be contained and are not aware of any threat to the wider public at this time.”

Police Appeal for Information

Anyone with information or who captured footage on Middle Street today is urged to contact Thames Valley Police on 101 or report online, quoting reference number 43250537456.
