FIRE BALL Ex-Aviva CEO Dies in Horror Aston Martin Crash That Slammed into Tree

 

A former insurance boss has tragically died after his Aston Martin veered off the road and smashed into a tree in West Yorkshire.

‘Devastated’ Family Pay Heartfelt Tribute

David Barral, 63, a father of three and ex-Aviva CEO, was driving a grey Aston Martin DBX SUV on the A58 between Bardsey and Collingham on Tuesday when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.

Despite desperate efforts from fire crews, police, and paramedics at the scene, Mr Barral was pronounced dead instantly. His family described him as “the most wonderful man” and said they are “absolutely devastated” by the loss.

“Rest in peace David. We will all miss you so, so much and you will always fill our hearts. We love you.”

Crash Under Investigation – Police Seek Witnesses

West Yorkshire police are investigating the incident and urging anyone who witnessed the crash or any suspicious driving before it to come forward. They are particularly keen to review any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area.

A police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or the car’s movements in the time leading up to it to please contact them.”

Born in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, Scotland, Mr Barral built a notable career in insurance. He held senior roles at Aviva from 1999 to 2015, then worked as a claim negotiator at Guardian Royal Exchange. He later ran Andrew Yule Insurance for three years.

He lived with his family in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, and leaves behind his wife and three children.
