Kory Russell, a respected employee at US investment giant State Street, tragically died after collapsing at the finish line of the Royal Parks Half Marathon in central London on Sunday, October 12.
Race Organisers Confirm Death
Event organisers revealed that Mr Russell received specialist medical help at the scene before being rushed to hospital by ambulance. Sadly, he later passed away.
“We confirm with deep sadness the death of a participant in the 2025 Royal Parks Half Marathon,” the organisers said. “Our sincere condolences go out to Kory’s family and friends. The family has requested privacy, and no further details will be released.”
State Street Pays Tribute
A spokesperson for State Street Investment Management described Russell as a “highly valued and respected member” of their team. They extended “heartfelt sympathies” to his loved ones in their time of grief.
Cause of Death Awaited
The exact cause of death will be confirmed after a post-mortem examination, according to race organisers.
