A woman was reportedly sexually assaulted on a train heading to London last Thursday morning. The incident happened around 7:50am on the service from Staines to London.
Disturbing Incident on Feltham to Richmond Train
According to British Transport Police, a man boarded at Feltham Station and sat next to the victim. Shortly after, he began touching her hair while inappropriately touching himself over his clothes.
“The woman initially did not realise what was happening but became aware thanks to other passengers,” police said.
Another passenger confronted the man and escorted him off the train at Richmond Station.
Police Seek Witnesses to Help Identify Suspect
The suspect is described as a tall, stocky white man with a shaved head. He wore a black tracksuit top and bottoms.
British Transport Police are asking anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward. They can text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 283 of 2 October. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
