60-Year-Old Faces Serious Charges at Basildon Crown Court

Peter Faires, 60, from Staverton Road, Hornchurch, has appeared in court accused of suffocating a woman in Basildon.

Speaking via video link from Chelmsford Prison, Faires denied seven charges against him, including a campaign of abuse and intentional suffocation.

  • Isolating her from friends and family

He pleaded not guilty to this and six other charges, which include two counts of assault by beating, three counts of damaging property, and one count of intentional suffocation.
