A garage fire broke out on Broadley Road in Margate today, believed to have started accidentally after a lithium-ion battery charger caught alight.

Three fire engines responded swiftly to the scene, equipped with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. They utilized hose reel jets to combat the flames effectively. Additionally, a smoke curtain was deployed to prevent the smoke from spreading into the main property.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the fire. The prompt response and coordinated efforts of the fire crews helped contain the situation and prevent further damage.
