12 Year old Boy by Struck by Car in Hit and Run Havant

Officer from the Hampshire Roads Polcing based at Havant are appealing for witnesses after a child was injured in a collision in Havant. Between 5.12pm and 5.22pm on Saturday 2 December, a silver estate car and a pedestrian collided on Purbrook Way at the roundabout which joins Stockheath Lane, Stockheath Road, Bedhampton Way and Dunsbury Way. The pedestrian, a 12-year-old boy, suffered a cut to his head as well as grazing and bruising. It was reported that the vehicle initially stopped to check on the welfare of the boy, before leaving the scene without exchanging details. The driver was described as a white man with a beard. There were also two children in the car. PC Andrew Hector said: “We are keen to identify the car and speak with the driver to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the collision. “If you know the driver, or this is you, then please call us immediately. “In addition if you witnessed this collision then please get in touch.” If you have any information relating to this case, please call 101 quoting reference ‘44170468854’, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
