Police Hunt Man who stole 20K from 91 year Old Pensioner in Southsea

Police have released an efit image of a man we would like to speak to after £20,000 was stolen in a distraction burglary. It took place sometime between 2.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday, April 16, at an address in Redwing Court, Southsea. The 91-year-old victim answered his door to a man who claimed to be from a water company. The man said the water supply was contaminated. The victim let the man into the address and accompanied him to the bathroom to test the water. While the victim was distracted, another man entered the property and stole up to £20,000 in cash. An efit image of the first man has now been produced. He is described as white, aged in his 30s, around 5ft 10ins tall and of slim build. He had dark hair and spoke with what could have been an Irish accent. Anyone who recognises the image of the man we would like to speak to is asked to call 101, quoting 44160144333.
