Barnet Man Mehmet Greca Jailed for Six Years after being found with Five Million pounds worth of Class A Drugs

A man found with cocaine valued at over five million pounds has been jailed. Mehmet Greca, 32, of Deodora Close, Friern Barnet, N20, was jailed for six years for possession of Class A drugs and possession of criminal property. The judge also ordered the forfeiture of over £80,000. Mehmet had pleaded guilty at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday, 22 November, and was sentenced the same day. The court heard how, on 13 December 2016, officers from the Met’s London Crime Squad executed a drugs warrant at Greca’s home address. The door to the flat had been secured with an iron grille, but officers were still able to get in. Found within the flat were 51 kilograms of high-purity cocaine with a street value of over £5 million that had been packed in two large bags. Also found within the flat was a rapid cash-counting machine along with £80,632.13 in cash. Mehmet was found in the flat and arrested. He was later charged with possession with intent to supply Class A controlled drug and possession of criminal property. DC Jonathan Payne from the London Crime Squad, said. Greca intended to flood the streets of London and the UK with a vast quantity of class A drugs. This was a significant seizure of cocaine, removing a large quantity of drugs and recovering a sizeable sum in cash.
