Gani, the 39-year-old Pizza Hut supervisor and budding actor, was ousted from the Big Brother house last night after losing a nail-biting vote to fellow contestant Zelah. The eviction left him visibly devastated.
Gani Breaks Silence: ‘Don’t Know What to Say’
Speaking to Will Best and AJ Odudu on the Late and Live after-show, Gani confessed his disappointment. “I seriously don’t know what to even say right now,” he admitted. The star added he wished he’d had more time to show his true self to viewers and housemates alike.
Big Brother UK’s official account saluted the star, tweeting: “Gani is your second Evicted Housemate! Gani you were truly an *ICONIC* Housemate 💞 #BBUK”
Fans Furious! ‘The Wrong Person Got Voted Out’
- Big Brother fans were quick to slam the vote, flooding social media with calls for sweeping changes to the eviction process.
- One viewer begged: “Go back to regular nominations next week so we won’t lose good ppl like this.”
- Another fumed: “Wrong person left, I wanted to see Gani and Caroline kicked off.”
- “Why are we keeping the boring ones in?” questioned a frustrated fan.
However, not everyone was sad to see Gani go. One viewer tweeted, “I’m happy he’s gone to be honest, guys.”
Gani’s Big Brother Dream: Energy Over Strategy
Before entering the house, Gani promised to bring “energy” to the game and made it clear he wasn’t playing with a winning strategy. “Everyone who sees my social media thinks I have a very quiet attitude, which they say comes across as possibly arrogant,” he explained.
“But when they actually meet me, they quickly change their minds and realise I’m quite lovely.”
Big Brother swings back on Sunday, October 5 at 9pm on ITV2, with all episodes available on demand via ITVX.
