Friends Start Mass Fund Raise for Man left with Life Changing Injuries after Incident on M3 Motorway
25 year old Dan Elsworthy was the tipper truck driver involved in a horrific car accident on his way back from work on Friday on the M3 near Basingstoke. The result of collision left him in a critical condition and whilst medical staff battled to keep him alive, they have decided that both his legs may have to be amputated. It is unlikely Dan will be able to walk again; his life is going to change forever. Now a fundraising page has been set up to aid his recovery and provide added comfort. The fundraising target has been set to £5000 and friends of Dan are hoping that as many people as possible will give whatever they can as it will all help in the recovery of this young father of two. Police closed the motorway for a number of hours while a doctor removed part of Dan’s foot at the scene. Police also carried out an investigation into how the collision took place. The M3 reopened just after 5am on Saturday morning Hampshire Constabulary are now investigating what led to the collision and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101. A statement from the police said: “No other vehicles are believed to have been involved, but other motorists may be able to help establish exactly what happened.” If you would like to help:
