Police are urgently hunting Hassan Mahmood, 21, who fled the country mid-trial after being convicted of multiple child sex offences in Bury.
Guilty on Four Counts
Mahmood, from Gigg Lane, Bury, was found guilty at england/england/manchester/”>manchester/”>Manchester Crown Court of:
- Engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 13
- Causing a child under 13 to watch or look at sexual images
- Engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child under 13
- Engaging in sexual communication with a child
Fled Mid-Trial – Now on the Run
Mahmood vanished on the second day of his four-day trial, forcing the court to continue in his absence. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are actively searching for him.
“He is a wanted man,” a GMP spokesperson confirmed, urging anyone with information to come forward immediately.
