Police Break Down Door Amid ‘Loud Bangs’
Multiple witnesses reported hearing “loud bangs” as officers allegedly forced entry to a property. The Territorial Support Group, known for handling public order and critical incidents, arrived on the scene.
Schools nearby took precautionary measures to keep children safe, though these have since been lifted.
No Injuries, Ambulance Service Confirms
The London Ambulance Service responded but did not treat any patients. A spokesperson said:
“We sent an incident response officer and members of our Tactical Response Unit to the scene. We were there as a precaution and fortunately there were no patients for us.”
Traffic Chaos – Buses Diverted
- Bus routes 136, 181, and 336 were rerouted due to the closure.
- Downham Way was partially blocked around Churchdown, but traffic mostly coped Wellwell.
