A man has been charged with two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a collision involving a police car in Southwark. Haydon Martin, 25, of Fenwick Road, Southwark, is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday, 22 October). The charges relate to a collision between a car and a police car shortly before 1.30pm on Tuesday, 20 October in Draycott Close near to the junction with Edmund Street, SE5. Four police officers sustained injuries that required hospital treatment. The female driver of the police vehicle remains in hospital, while three male officers have now been discharged.
