Fire crews tackle blaze in Portsmouth

Fire crews from Southsea and Cosham have been called to the centre of Portsmouth this afternoon to tackle a roof fire that has broken out at a public house in Commercial Road. Three appliances are current at the scene dealing with the incident and were called just before 5pm today. An aerial ladder platform was used to help contain the fire to the roof of the pub. The landlord of the pub said “fire crews had managed to contain the fire to the roof area of the pub and we have started to clean up the water and it’s a mysterious to how the fire started as the only work I had done is a flat roof which was put on last week.
