Body recovered from Millwall Docks after reports man entered the water

The Metropolitan Police were called to england/millwall/”>Millwall Docks at 5.54pm on Friday, 5 September, after concerns were raised about a man seen entering the Waterwater. Subsequently, a Millwall Docks body was recovered following the incident.

Emergency services attended and searched the area. The body of a man was located and recovered from the water.
Police say the death is being treated as unexpected, but not believed to be suspicious. Next of kin are yet to be informed.

A Met spokesperson said:

“We were called at 17:54hrs on Friday, 5 September after concerns were raised about a man seen entering the water at Millwall Docks, E14. Emergency services responded and carried out a search of the area. Sadly the body of a man was recovered from the water. His next of kin are yet to be informed. The death is being treated as unexpected but is not believed to be suspicious.”
