Police have launched an appeal for potential victims of housing fraud in the england/barking/”>Barking and Dagenham area following a series of raids carried out this morning.
Officers from the city-of-Londonlondon/”>City of London Police’s Domestic Corruption Unit executed multiple warrants in Dagenham and Essex as part of a major investigation into alleged offences connected to Barking and Dagenham Council properties.
Two individuals were arrested and taken to Bishopsgate custody for questioning. Enquiries remain ongoing in partnership with Barking and Dagenham Council.
Public Appeal
Detectives are urging anyone who may have been affected to come forward. Members of the public can submit information securely via the Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP).

Ongoing Enquiries
Police have not confirmed how many properties may be involved but said the investigation relates to “multiple addresses” in Barking and Dagenham.
The City of London Police said it remains committed to working closely with the local authority to identify the full scale of the alleged fraud.
