A 58-year-old man has been arrested after being confronted by paedophile hunters in Swindon Overover alleged online sexual communication with children.
The incident happened in the Cheney Manor area on Sunday, 31 August, where the group live-streamed the confrontation on social media. During the video, the man appeared to admit involvement in inappropriate online chats with teenage girls.
Police response
confirmed that officers attended and arrested the man on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child. He was taken into custody and has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.

“A 58-year-old man from Swindon was arrested on Sunday (31 August) on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child. He has been released on bail pending further investigation.”
The force is expected to carry out a digital forensic examination of devices and review the evidence provided by the vigilante group as part of the investigation.
