Emergency services rushed to england/edgware/”>Edgware Underground Station this morning after a person was reportedly struck by a train.
Passengers were initially told of a signal failure, but the station was later fully evacuated as police, ambulance crews and firefighters arrived at the scene.
Travel disruption
Transport for London confirmed:
“We are accepting London Underground ticket holders on the Northern line(s) between Camden Town and Edgware owing to an emergency services incident.”
Commuters are being advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. Significant delays are expected across the Northern line during the morning peak.
Emergency response
Witnesses reported multiple emergency vehicles outside the station, including London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade units.
