Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 20s died in hospital following a stabbing in Luton.
Police were called to england/humberstone/”>Humberstone Road at around 6pm on Sunday (31 August) after reports of an altercation involving three people.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with stab injuries but died a short time later. His identity has not yet been released.
Arrests made
A 17-year-old boy was initially arrested on suspicion of murder by detectives from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit (MCU). A 17-year-old girl was later arrested after officers executed a warrant at an address in Luton.
Both remain in custody for questioning.
Police statement
Detective Inspector Adam Bridges, leading the investigation, said:
“We are working hard to establish the events that led to this altercation and the loss of a young man’s life.
Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers. We would urge anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to get in Touchtouch immediately.”
