Police treating the attack as an “isolated incident” as enquiries continue.
A murder investigation is under way after a man in his 20s was fatally stabbed in Luton, Bedfordshire, on Sunday evening.
Emergency services were called to Humberstone Road just after 6pm following reports of an altercation involving two men and a woman.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries but, despite the best efforts of medical staff, he was pronounced dead a short time later. His next of kin have been informed.
Police appeal for witnesses
Detectives from Bedfordshire Police’s Major Crime Unit have launched a full investigation and are urging anyone with information, or who may have captured footage, to come forward.
A spokesperson said officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident.

Superintendent Rachael Glendenning said:
“This is an isolated incident, and we would ask the public not to speculate at this time. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends, and we are doing all we can to support them.
There will be an increased police presence in the area while our investigation continues, and we would encourage anyone with concerns to approach our officers directly.”
Road closures and scene examination
A section of Humberstone Road remains cordoned off while forensic officers carry out detailed examinations. Police have confirmed they will be at the scene for a “significant period”.
