Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was left fighting for his life following a collision with a car in Sevenoaks.
The 79-year-old man was struck at around 1.25pm on Tuesday, 12 August, in Mount Harry Road at the junction with the A225 Dartford Road.
It is reported the pedestrian was crossing the road when he was hit by a red Mazda, which stopped at the scene.
The victim was treated by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service before being taken to hospital, where his condition has been described as critical.
Appeal for witnesses
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the investigation and has urged motorists and residents to check for dashcam or CCTV footage that may help establish the circumstances.
A Kent Police spokesperson said:
"We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has dashcam footage from the area, to get in touch. Even the smallest detail could assist our investigation."
