A serious altercation in Woodford Green has led to three men being arrested and two others rushed to hospital after a double stabbing.
The incident unfolded on Liston Way shortly before 6pm on Thursday evening, prompting a significant emergency response including air ambulance deployment and multiple police units.
Two men in their 40s were found at the scene with stab injuries. Both were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are not believed to be life-changing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed:
“We were called at around 18:00hrs on Thursday, 7 August to reports of a stabbing in Liston Way, Woodford Green.
Two men in their 40s were found with stab wounds. Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and remain in custody.”
Those arrested include:
- A 46-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm
- A 48-year-old man, also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm
- A 31-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and criminal damage
The Met Police continue to investigate, and residents reported seeing part of the road cordoned off and heavy police presence around the time of the incident.
