Armed police have surrounded a building in Cambridge Court, Stamford Hill this afternoon (Friday, 8 August 2025) in response to what officers at the scene have described as a “firearms issue.”
Emergency services descended on the area shortly before 1pm, with multiple roads cordoned off and bus stops near Stamford Hill station closed while the operation continues.
A loud bang was reported by nearby residents, though it remains unconfirmed whether it was connected to the armed response.
