Police release image after assault at Liverpool Street Underground station
Overview
Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) have released an image of a man they wish to identify following an assault at Liverpool Street Underground station in London.
The incident occurred at around 10.30pm on Thursday, 17 July, when a man in his 20s boarded a Central line train at Chancery Lane station. He became involved in a verbal altercation with another man on board.
When the victim got off the train at Liverpool Street, the other man followed him and punched him in the face three times before reboarding the train and leaving the scene.
Appeal for information
Detectives believe the man shown in the image may have information that could assist their investigation.
A BTP spokesperson said:
“We are keen to identify the man in this image as he may be able to help us with our enquiries. If you recognise him, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
