A body has been discovered during the search for Rachel Booth, a 38-year-old woman from Northwich, Cheshire, who was reported missing over the weekend.
Rachel was last seen by her family in the Barnton area during the early hours of Saturday, July 19, with the last confirmed sighting taking place around 3:50am at the Sandiway petrol station on the A556—roughly five miles away.
Search Operation Focused on Oakmere and Delamere
Following her disappearance, Cheshire Police, underwater search teams, and Cheshire Search and Rescue units focused their efforts in the Oakmere area near Delamere Forest, where it was believed she may have travelled.
In a statement released today, Cheshire Police confirmed the tragic discovery:
“Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, it is believed to be that of Rachel. Her family have been made aware and are being supported by specialist officers.
They have requested privacy at this time.”
