A man has been charged with murder and robbery as part of an ongoing investigation into the death of a man in Dunlop Close, Dartford earlier this month.
Kent Police confirmed they were called to an address on Saturday, 5 July 2025, following concerns for a person’s welfare. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found a man in his 60s, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Death Treated as Suspicious
After initial enquiries, detectives determined the circumstances surrounding the man’s death to be suspicious, prompting a full murder investigation.
Following extensive enquiries, a suspect was arrested on Thursday, 17 July.
Suspect Charged
On Saturday, 19 July, Dorin Ciorba, aged 29 and of Longbridge Road, Barking, was formally charged with:
- Murder
- Robbery
He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court the same day.
Kent Police have not yet released further details about the victim or the motive behind the alleged attack. The investigation remains ongoing.
