A large-scale emergency response was launched this afternoon in Gravesend after a medical incident was reported at Pankhurst Place.
At approximately 3:19pm, Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAMB) were dispatched to the scene, where they were later joined by an air ambulance, which landed in the green space between Whitehill Lane and Valley Drive.
Major Emergency Presence
Multiple police vehicles and ambulance crews were seen in the area as bystanders looked on. The Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance touched down shortly after 3:30pm, drawing further attention to the developing incident.
A police spokesperson confirmed:
“Officers attended the scene where they assisted South East Coast Ambulance Service.”
Condition of Patient Unknown
As of this evening, no details have been released regarding the nature of the incident or the condition of the individual involved. Emergency services have been contacted for further information, and updates are expected once more is confirmed.
The situation caused concern among local residents, some of whom captured images of the helicopter landing in the normally quiet residential area. One has revealed that a young child was involved.
