A 46-year-old woman has sustained life-changing injuries after being struck by a car in John Harrison Way, Greenwich, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene at approximately 4:50am following reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before transporting her to hospital, where her injuries were later assessed as life-changing.
Man Arrested on Suspicion of Grievous Bodily Harm
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He was taken into custody and remains detained as police continue their investigation.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident, including whether the collision was deliberate or accidental. No charges have yet been confirmed.
The road was closed for several hours while investigators conducted forensic examination and recovery work.
Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage from the John Harrison Way (SE10) area around 4:45am–5:15am is urged to come forward.
