A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed outside a house on Addington Road, South Croydon in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called at 12:07am on Saturday, 5 July, to reports of a stabbing incident near a residential property.
Met Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics responded swiftly to the scene, where they found the teenager suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
No Arrests at This Time
The Met says an investigation is underway, with officers carrying out door-to-door enquiries, scene analysis, and CCTV reviews. However, no arrests have been made as of Saturday morning.
A police spokesperson said:
“We were called at 00:07hrs on Saturday, 5 July to reports of a stabbing outside a house in Addington Road, South Croydon.
Met officers responded with paramedics and a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound. He remains in a stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.”
“An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The Met Police is urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage from the Addington Road area around midnight to come forward.
