A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the groin during a fight involving a group of people in Barnsdale Avenue, near Sherwood Gardens, in East London.
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at around 8:00pm on Monday, 23 June, following reports of an altercation in the E14 area.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a stab wound to his groin. He received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. His current condition has not been disclosed.
Investigation Ongoing
In a statement, a Met Police spokesperson said:
“Police were called at 20:00hrs on Monday, 23 June to Barnsdale Avenue, E14 following reports of an altercation between a group of people.
Officers attended and a man in his 30s was located with a stab wound to his groin.
Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
Detectives are reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses as they continue to investigate the circumstances around the assault.
