Police continue murder investigation after daylight knife attack claims life of 22-year-old
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder as detectives continue to investigate the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man in Hounslow.
Officers were called to Hanworth Road, near the junction with School Road, at 14:21 on Sunday, 22 June, following reports of a man being stabbed in broad daylight.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, and the victim was rushed to hospital. Despite the efforts of medics, he sadly died from his injuries. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers.
Two Arrests Made
On Monday, 23 June, Metropolitan Police officers arrested two men, aged 27 and 37, on suspicion of murder. They currently remain in custody for questioning.
Police Presence and Community Support
Superintendent James Rawlinson of the local policing team said:
“We are aware of the effect this horrendous incident has had on the local community, and have designated officers on reassurance patrols to answer any questions residents may have.
“Residents will continue to see increased police presence whilst this investigation remains ongoing.
“If you think you might have caught any dashcam or mobile phone footage, please upload it as soon as possible.”
He added that while the incident occurred outside the Hounslow Muslim Centre, there is no current indication that the venue itself was linked to the attack.

The Met’s Homicide Command is continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
