Police have confirmed that a body believed to be that of missing 18-year-old Margaret Grigor has been discovered during search efforts near Melrose, Scotland.
Margaret had last been seen on Tuesday, 17 June 2025. A widespread public appeal had been launched to help locate her, supported by friends, family, and missing persons charities.
In a statement issued this morning, police said formal identification has not yet taken place, but the body is “believed to be that of Margaret Grigor.” Her family has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.
The circumstances surrounding her death have not been detailed at this stage, and authorities have not indicated whether it is being treated as suspicious.
