A man in his 20s was hospitalised with multiple stab wounds following a violent group attack on Plumstead Road in Woolwich on Friday night (13 June).
According to a Metropolitan Police press release, officers were called to the scene at around 20:45hrs after reports that the man had been assaulted by a group of men.
Victim Treated at Scene and Hospitalised
Emergency services arrived promptly, and the victim received immediate treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has since been described as non-life-threatening. Police say they are awaiting further updates on his recovery.
No Arrests Yet – Public Urged to Come Forward
No arrests have been made at this stage, and police say urgent enquiries are ongoing to locate those responsible.
“Anybody who witnessed the incident – or who has information – should contact the police on 101, quoting crime reference 8162/13JUN,” the statement urges.
The incident adds to a troubling pattern of knife violence in south-east London, and police are calling on local residents to assist the investigation.
